2 months

I can't believe how fast the last 2 months have flown by. I don't even know where to start! We have been so busy of course and I could write for hours, but I will try to make it brief and stick to the highlights (because that is all I have time to do anyway!). Well, Owen has been a GREAT baby. Laid back, good sleeper (except waking up a few times a night to eat and fall right back to sleep), doesn't cry too much, and now is smiling a lot! I guess after going through Cameron's colic the first time it makes this time seem easier!
Cameron has been adjusting to being a big brother well, but it took some time. He LOVES the baby, and constantly says, "He's so cute!" and "Hi Baby Owen" and gives him kisses! The first few weeks or so we had MAJOR bedtime battles. He seemed pretty good during the day, but when bedtime rolled around he would throw major tantrums and didn't want to go to bed. Well, luckily that got much better after about a month of screaming every night. He was a little more "naughty" during the day in the beginning (to get my attention, I'm sure), especially getting into things while I was feeding Owen, but that has been a little better lately, too. Thank goodness for TV shows and the new iPad that have helped keep Cameron busy and out of trouble while I am breastfeeding the baby!
We went home to Madison for Christmas and it was wonderful to be with family, but the 5 hour drive was really hard! It was fun to hang out with the boys' cousin Lila who was in town from Texas. Joe took about 300 pictures but here is my favorite - I think it was our first family picture, Owen was 3 weeks old.
While we were home for Christmas my sister's baby, Caden, was baptized. Joe and I are the proud Godparents! It was our first time seeing Caden since they live in Colorado, and he was almost 3 months old. He is SO cute, with huge blue eyes. He is also a great baby, so laid back and happy! (BTW, in the picture I am holding Caden, and Jason is holding Owen).
Just need to thank our Mom's for coming up and helping as much as they could since the baby was born. I just wish they lived closer than 5 hours away!!! Owen will be 2 months old on Friday, wow! I am, just trying to enjoy him being a baby, because I know how fast it goes now that I have been through it once. BTW, can't wait for the Packer's Super Bowl next weekend!
