Cam's birthday party

We had so much fun! Of course it was a little chaotic with about 16 kids, but the bulldozer-shaped bouncy house kept them very occupied! That was the hit of the party. The pictures just don't do justice to show how many people and kids were there! Everyone was scattered all over the backyard. At cake time all the kids actually came out of the bouncy house for a few minutes, and then Joe gave them noisemakers and silly glasses for singing time, it was pretty funny. We had pizza, cake, snacks, drinks, opened presents, and just hung out in the backyard. It was mostly neighbors and a few friends that were able to make it. Cam would NOT take a nap that day because he was so excited, so he finally passed out at 3:30 in his chair in his room. I wish I would have got a picture of him when we finally woke him up and he came out of his room at 5pm and a bunch of people were already here! The party ended at 7:30 (2 1/2 hours was plenty long enough!) and it was dark by then, so we got out a few flashlights and continued to jump in the bouncy house in the dark! By then it was just Cam, me, Joe, and our friends Matt and Carey. We made a bonfire and Cam opened the presents that were from us. He got so many nice presents from our neighbors and friends. It was his best birthday party yet! 9It is only letting me post a few pictures at a time, and it won't let me post the video!) I also added a pic of the newly engaged couple Matt and Carey! They have been dating for way too long and finally got engaged a couple weeks ago! Congrats, we are so happy for you!!! (And yes, Matt likes to make funny faces when he is getting his picture taken).

4th of July

We went to the Biller cabin for our annual week vacation. It is the only time all year Joe takes a whole week off of work! Jon, Shelby, and little Lila were also there for part of the time. Joe's parents were also there the whole time. It was fun relaxing (ok, that didn't happen with 2 busy boys), going for pontoon rides around the lake (Cameron's favorite part of the trip by far), swimming, fishing, going on bike rides, eating s'mores, lighting off huge fireworks, skinny dipping (the kids, not us) , and getting lots of mosquito bites! Of course Joe took over 200 pictures so it is impossible to pick all the good ones.
Yes, I am 3 months behind on blogging! I need to keep these blogs short from now on because I just don't have time to do this anymore! Tomorrow is Cameron's 3rd birthday (we are going to dinner and then Toys R Us), and Saturday we are having a big birthday party here, so more pics to come!

Busy Summer!

Ok, it's been 3 months since my last post! So it's obviously been a busy summer for us. Our first summer with 2 kids was jam packed but lots of fun, so I don't even know where to start. I will stick with the main stuff because I don't have time to cover it all!

We had family pictures taken, Cameron learned how to ride a 2 wheeler bike (no training wheels!), and Owen learned how to walk. Those pictures and videos are all on Facebook if you want to see. Even in the past 2 weeks since I posted those videos, Cam's bike riding and Owen's walking have both taken off like crazy! Cam rides his bike completely on his own, and Owen walks everywhere! He still falls down a lot, but he now prefers walking over crawling. I was not expecting either of these things to happen so soon. Cam has been completely potty trained for a few months and hasn't had an accident in a long time. Even when we go to the store or class he wears underwear and does great!

Owen turned 10 months a few days ago. I have had to trim his hair a few times already it is grown so fast! He has his 9 month check up soon (I know, it is impossible to get an appointment at our clinic so we are way overdue). He is starting to copy us when we do things like shake our head, or wave, or say "dada". He is such a happy baby.

Cam turns 3 in 9 days! We are having a birthday party in a couple weeks and getting a bouncy house in the backyard and inviting our friends and all the neighborhood kids, so it should be a blast - his first real birthday party with friends! He is so cute, he LOVES playing with the neighborhood kids (most of them are older than him, but a few are around his age), so he made lots of friends over the summer. He is so smart and funny and says the craziest things!

Ok, going to put Cameron to bed, will post pics tomorrow...
